Queensland Ballet (QB) is the premier ballet company of Queensland, Australia. QB approached us to design and promote their 2019 Romeo & Juliet Flash Sale with Google Ads and social channels, where all tickets were $60 for 60 hours.

Wherefore art thou?...

The audiences we were targeting with this campaign were people in South East Queensland, between 18-65+years old, who had not previously been to a QB performance. Through interest-based and demographic targeting on Google and Facebook, we were able to effectively capture the attention of our audience. Results showed that Facebook was the best platform for capturing our 25-34yo demographic, while Google Ads performed best for the 55-65+yo audience.

Telling a love story

To differentiate the 60 hour Flash Sale creative from the rest of the Romeo & Juliet campaign creative, we opted for a black and white theme to reflect the elegance of the classic love story, while also contrasting against the sale messaging and coloured text. The creative was rolled out across various static and video formats for A/B testing.

Due to the campaign running for such a short period of time, it was essential to constantly optimise the ad variations based on performance - monitoring and adjusting placement, budget allocation, messaging and creative. This allowed us to successfully achieve our ticket sale target and also utilise less ad spend budget than allocated. Bravo!
The results also helped us capture a new audience for future marketing campaigns.
