MotorMouth uses location-based data to help consumers find the best deal on fuel near them. The service gives you access to fuel prices for more than 2,300 stations around Australia, with more sites being added each day as new users discover the app and share the prices they see around them.
Before teaming up with Orange Digital, MotorMouth’s data came from a team of roaming drivers and relied on servo operators and private companies to report their own prices. Not only was this costly – it meant consumers weren’t receiving prices in a timely manner, making the data often outdated and unreliable.
We introduced a rewards program incentivising users to share prices at their local station, making it possible for anyone to contribute and help others get the best deal. This revolutionary system combined with our PR and marketing efforts helped to boost the user base by 1000% in just six months.
